EnviroSys Chosen by the Port of Melbourne Corporation

The Port of Melbourne Corporation has selected the award winning EnviroSys environmental data management software, developed by SRA Information Technology, to assist with managing the environmental impacts of its Channel Deepening Project.

Tenix Systems will project manage the implementation of EnviroSys from its Melbourne office. This project opens the way for SRA Information Technology to work closely with Tenix Systems on future opportunities.

Monitoring programs for environmental variables such as turbidity, water flow, airborne and underwater noise will be configured and managed using EnviroSys, as well as items like barge location tracking,cetacean observations and ocean data (swells, tides etc.). Implementation is already underway.

The application of IT to corporate environmental information management is coming into increasing focus as company boards and managers strive to reduce environmental and regulatory risk and enhance the company image in the broader community.
